On quite a few occasions, the famous actress has spoken openly about her personal experience with perimenopause, but now Halle Berry asks women to change their perspective on themselves if they are going through this stage of life.
In an interview with "Marie Claire", Berry spoke about facing the stigma that comes with menopause in women.
"We should not be seen only as bodies that bring children into life and that is all that men and society in general care about, on the contrary. We need to get past this prejudice and not feel bad about menopause,” she says.
Despite the often judgmental view that society gives to this process that happens to women, Berry says she sees menopause as a rebirth.
"It's such an exciting time," she adds. "It is not yet time to give up, but to ask yourself: 'Now that I am free, what can I do?'

Berry sees getting older as a privilege, saying the wisdom she's gained over the years has helped her care less about trivial things.
"I'm often one of the older people when I attend events or different events. I don't worry, but I'm proud of that fact because I just don't worry anymore about what people think, their egos or their insecurities. Age is just a number that we have with us from the moment of birth, but it is never a determining factor," concludes the actress.
