Comedian Albano Bogdo has a different opinion than most when it comes to Brazilian coach Sylvinho (Sylvio Mendes Campos Júnior). Invited to "Quo Vadis" , Bogdo exploded at the coach, calling him a "complete idiot" and saying that he "has never won anything".
"In America there are 35 other sports more important than football. All footballers are paid more than Ronaldo. Silvinho is a complete idiot coach, he has never won anything and has no experience. He goes to Europian and does not call Sokol Cikalleshin. The goals scored by Jasir Asani from outside the area, take and see. They have come because Cikalleshi runs without the ball and takes two central defenders with him. Asan comes up empty and hits the goal. Broja played or did not play 5 games because he was injured or 10 at the most".
He also said that he does not understand the 'glorification' of football in Albania.
"I think that this glory that football has in Albania, despite the fact that we are fans, is a great idiocy. I'm saying it openly, let them listen and say what they want. I don't know why it is glorified so much, when in other sports, people get gold medals. It is the fault of the media that glorifies him in vain", said the comedian, adding that the national team players do not take him for granted because he has friends.
However, Albano probably forgets that the emotions of football as a sport that unites people are unrepeatable and that unlike other sports, most of which are individual, that is, the athlete wins for himself and for the country, football involves the team, the spirit of the team and a whole state that rejoices, cheers and cries with them. At this point, 'glorification' makes no sense. We are proud of the national team and every other person who represents us, in every corner of the globe.
Yesterday, on September 10, 2024, Albania lost to Georgia with the score 0-1. Captain Elsaid Hysaj said:
"We played a good match, we didn't play a bad match. We were tired, they were lagging far behind. Georgia is a growing team. They rated him as the strongest in our group. We should have done better in our field, I regret that we played well. We had made a plan that the two of us would stay at Kvara, so that it wouldn't fit into the spaces. He was the most important player. We had taken special measures".
He went on to say that they should be more careful and drew a comparison with the Ukrainian team:
"We had to find a way to pass the ball to score the goal. We have to be more careful and smarter on the pitch other times. Ukraine was a team that was waiting for us, we had more spaces. This was a quick match. We should have been faster. We have to be smarter. It is small details that condemn you. Sometimes we have to make a foul, get a card to stop the action. The spirit was not lacking, we gave our best. We knew it was going to be a 1-2 game. We were waiting for our chance but it didn't happen."
