Sabrina Carpenter has published one of the songs of the new album "Short'n Sweet". The song is titled "Taste" and talks about a love triangle, where he warns his ex's girlfriend that when she kisses and is with the boy, she will feel the taste of Sabrina.

In the video clip, Jenna Ortega also appears, to whom Sabrina tries to make her life difficult, but Jenna always has a counter-response. The video clip recreates scenes from iconic films like "Death Becomes Her" and "Psycho" and shows exactly 2 women who are about to kill each other for the love of their ex, but in the end, they kiss and become friends together.

"I heard you're back together and if it's true/ You'll taste me when he kisses you/ He looks cool and his jokes are different/ I don't know who he learned them from?" sings Sabrina and the People immediately thought that, in fact, her song is a dedication to Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello.

Carpenter was rumored to be in a brief relationship with Mendes in February 2023. They were spotted together a few times, until Mendes got together with his ex, Camilla Cabello, who may just be the 'other woman' he's for Sabrina speaks in song.

People think that the song is referring to the famous former couple, due to the title of the album "Short 'n Sweet", which is not a reference to a person's height at all. In an interview with Apple, Carpenter said:

Another detail is Ortega's purple dress, which reminded people of the dress in the same color that Camilla wore during the public appearance with Shawn on the red carpet. Then, the places where Mendes and Cabello have been photographed by the paparazzi kissing or happy in each other's company are also mentioned.

However, on the part of Camilla before there was no grudge. Asked by Elle what is the song of the summer, Camilla said: "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter", adding that every time she orders an espresso she remembers this song. But now, things have changed (with the voice of Elvana Tjata).

Camilla posted a video on TikTok telling us she's going to post a new song, "June Gloom," and since we all know coincidences happen in this industry, people thought it was a response to Sabrina .

Camilla chose the most spicy 23 seconds of the song, where she says: "She's cool, I've heard/ I won't pretend to be surprised, I've seen the photos", to continue: "We are a burning house, definitely/ I hope that to burn at all, but the fire gets bigger", possibly referring to her relationship with Mendes.
