Sheriff Dyrmishaj, fisherman and Eva's companion in this extraordinary challenge said:

"Congratulations Eva, I am speechless. Eve entered the history of the sea in a more noble way by sacrificing herself. The crossing of the Otranto canal, after a failure a year ago, concreted Eva's name on one of the rocks of Karaburun. I would say that we should call that rock where Eve first caught the Albanian land "Eve's Rock". "Eva has done over 50 or so miles."

Eva Buzo is a lawyer in Australia. She has been a strong voice for social issues related to human rights. Eva has worked in East Africa and South Asia, in well-known organizations such as "Save the Children" and "World Vision".

Eva has undertaken this difficult challenge before, a year ago, but stopped due to health complications.
