Czech tennis stars Katerina Siniakova and Tomad Machac were crowned mixed doubles champions on Friday, beating Chinese players Wang Xinyu and Zhang Zhizhen. People were not surprised by the fact that they won, but by the way they celebrated their triumph (which included kisses and hugs unusual for a newly separated couple).

Machac and Siniakova have been one of the most popular tennis pairings over the years. The pair began dating in 2020, but just a week before the 2024 Paris Olympics, they announced they had split.

The split sparked concerns and speculation that the pair would pull out of the Olympics altogether, but Siniakova insisted they would remain professional and compete for their country.

Now, a gold medal seems to have rekindled their romance, but they were tight-lipped about their relationship in a post-match press conference.

"This is our personal life, so you don't need to know that. We like it when you're confused. We're so professional that we split up just to focus fully on this medal. We made it and we'll see what happens what happens after that", said Siniakova, so we are waiting to see what will happen.
