Ángel Di María announced his retirement from the Argentina national team. He, after the final of the American Cup, where Argentina triumphed, announced that he will no longer be part of the national team, after a successful career with his team.

Di María, 36 years old, has been part of the Argentine national team since the age of 16 and together with Messi have written history, thanks to phenomenal assists and goals.
"It was written to happen like this. I dreamed about this, to reach the final and win. I don't know what to say. I have a lot of feelings, I am eternally grateful to the Federation, which gave me everything. Argentina is my love and my country", he said.
Di María participated in four World Cups, in 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022, in which Argentina took the victory cup.
