Flight delays and cancellations are a stress in themselves. Remember the long lines at the airport and the never-ending wait. To save money, time and not get tired, when should you travel to avoid flight delays or cancellations?
The answer comes from travel site Expedia, which analyzed data from millions of trips in the Airlines Reporting Corporation, a database that records ticket sales from hundreds of airlines around the world.
Trips between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. face fewer disruptions, according to Expedia. If you hate to travel early and end up choosing a flight after 3pm, there is a much higher chance that it will be cancelled.
Traveling during peak summer months like June and July can also mean you're more likely to experience delays. Off-season flights are not only cheaper, but less likely to be delayed or cancelled.
