Kevin Jonas confessed on his Instagram account that he was diagnosed with skin cancer and that he underwent surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma in the scalp area.
"Today I'm going to remove a basal cell carcinoma from my head," said the Jonas Brothers member in the video published on the social network, where he also showed a mole on the upper part of his forehead. “This little guy is a skin cancer that has started to grow. Now I have to have an operation to remove it," he continued.
It seems that the procedure was quick, as he was allowed to go home after the operation, where he again updated people via a video. "Okay, it's all over. Now it's time to recover and I'm going home. Make sure you check your moles," Jonas said and captioned the video: "Friendly reminder to check your moles."

What is basal cell carcinoma?
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer, which arises in the epidermal layer. Although it can be caught quickly, it can still invade the surrounding tissue and cause scarring, so it is advisable for people who have moles to check them often.
The main cause of carcinoma is long exposure to the sun and genetics. Even the sun can affect the affected by this disease.
