Besa Kokëdhima, who represented Albania at Eurovision 2024 with the song "Titan", reacted for the first time through a video published on Instagram, after being disqualified on the second night of the semi-final in the festival competition.
"Hello to all my compatriots! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and messages. We have done a very serious and rigorous work all these months to make a representation as dignified as possible. I am very grateful when you express this with your messages and support", she said.
Besa continued:
"I'm sorry that we didn't make it to the finals, but this is the competition and we don't define the rules. I hope you just enjoyed it and I made you proud. This is all that fills my soul full. I thank you very much and I love you Albanians, wherever you are".
Besa Kokëdhima performed live on stage with a lot of emotion, receiving many applauses.
According to the preliminary polls done in Eurovision, Albania has had a pretty good ranking. Taking into account the votes of the public and journalists, "Titan" was ranked 10th. But this was not reflected in the evening vote.
The final, which takes place on Saturday, is eagerly awaited and these countries will compete in the final, with the respective songs:
