Ellen DeGeneres has started her "comedy in motion" tour, where she goes on stage alone and performs stand up comedy. This time she performed in Largo, Hollywood, where she started with jokes about being kicked out of television twice.
"I became a one-dimensional person who jumped and did the dance that was asked of him. Do you know how hard it is to do all this? I know how bad you have to be to take those steps. What if I had closed the show by cursing everyone? People would have been surprised", she declared.
Ellen recalled that the first time she was fired from television was in the late '90s, when she had the show "Ellen" and was asked to leave after revealing that she was a lesbian.
"When they expel me for the third time, they will say that I am ugly, old and lesbian", she said ironically.
DeGeneres was accused in 2020 of creating a toxic work environment and misbehaving with staff after firing 3 of her top producers. They accused the moderator and the actress of racism, intimidation and inciting fear.
"People either love you and have ideals or hate you, this business is full of extremes like that," declared DeGeneres before launching into her jokes and audience interaction.
In 2022, Ellen made her last TV show.
