Despite the health situation, not only of the Princess of Wales, but also of King Charles himself who has been diagnosed with cancer, it seems that nothing has prevented the latter from giving Kate Middleton a new royal title.
According to world media, it is the first title of this kind in the history of the British royal family. Kate is officially a Royal Companion of the Order of Companions of Honour, following the recent decision of her father-in-law, King Charles.
The daughter-in-law of the king's son is the first member of the royal family to be given the title of Companion of Honour.
The Order of Companions of Honor was established by King George V in 1917 to recognize outstanding achievements in the arts, sciences, medicine and public service, according to the royal family's official website.
Currently, the members of this order are personalities in prominent fields starting with politicians, singers, scientists, novelists, actors and athletes. Among the celebrities are names such as Elton John, Paul Mchartney, JK Roëling, etc.
The new title appears to be the latest sign of support between the King and Princess of Wales, who has publicly admitted in a video that she has been undergoing cancer treatment since March. King Charles is also undergoing cancer treatment, a disease that was confirmed a few months ago.
