Each of us has a playlist of favorite hits that we listen to on the way to work, in the car or during a regular walk. Despite the multitude of new songs circulating in recent years, there are some people who have "stuck" their preference to the songs they used to listen to in their teenage years, even though you may now be 30 years old or even older.

Although this may seem a little strange, going back to the songs of your teens is a good thing that actually has more positive effects on your brain.

How does teen music help your brain?

According to Nikki Roy, a therapist in California, researchers are discovering that the music we listen to as teenagers when re-listened to as adults is connected to the brain and this phenomenon is otherwise known as "neural nostalgia". The relationship we have with music over the years is seen as a salvation for the emotions, and it is even very good for brain development and nervous calmness.

Because nostalgia as an approach is one of the best methods of coping with difficult emotional states, especially retro music, if listened to intensively it almost creates a "fortress" for your feelings!

So the more teen music you listen to, you're doing your brain a favor!
