Ali Oseku, the well-known Albanian painter, has passed away after suffering from a serious illness.
For 50 years he contributed to Albanian visual art and remains one of the most important artists of this artistic genre. His paintings were distinguished by color combinations and interesting portraits, which are a heritage for the art of our country.
Oseku was born in Tirana, on February 25, 1944. His family was originally from Gjakova. In 1963, he finished the Artistic High School, "Jordan Misja" in Tirana and then, in 1969, higher studies in painting at the High Institute of Arts. In '91, he returned to creativity and painting, as a curator at the National Gallery of Art, then lecturer and head of department at the Academy of Fine Arts.
