Known as "helicopter parenting," when a parent is very involved in their child's life, the intentions are generally good, but there are problems along the way.

According to psychotherapists, this way of parenting looks different in certain families, but generally there are several ways to understand it:

- Excessive involvement in the child's life: From daily life, to school and social activities, these parents insert themselves into every situation.

- Constant supervision: Parents observe the child's life almost at every moment.

- Overprotection: They try to position themselves as a shield for the child and the situations he faces.

- Control in decision-making: These parents make their own decisions for the children.

But should this parenting method be followed?

Psychologists point out that these parents generally have good relationships with their children, but the way they control their lives, noting here also excessive protection, can easily turn to harm for the child.

"These children can grow accustomed to the comfort of finding everything ready in every sense. They may not develop decision-making skills. Also, they will have a very low sense of independence", says Gina Song, doctor.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that these children have difficulty making decisions and having initiatives for their lives, so psychologists suggest that parents familiarize themselves with several parenting methods and take the qualities of each to find the right balance.
