As every year around this date, the Parade of Pride will be held tomorrow (May 18th), a symbolic march aimed at raising awareness of the rights that LGBTQ community members have and should have.
My story, one of the most active pages, writes that "tomorrow in Tirana Pride march for love, for each other and for the non-negotiable right to live a life free and without bias. Take a smile and your companion. "
In recent years, there has been a stagnation and somewhat deteriorating respect for LGBTQ community rights. The media continues to tend to reinforce stereotypes that fuel hatred of this community and the reality they face.
Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj dedicated a post to Twitter today, which is the Day Against Homophobia, Bifobia and Transphobia. On the city's logo, already painted as a rainbow, Veliaj writes: "In Tirana, you are free to love whoever you want, to be whoever you want to be. Lyem the city logo to greet the LGBTQ community on this special day against homophobia and transphobia. "
In Tirana, you are free to love who you are and whoever you choose to be. We colored our city logo to salute the capital's #LGBTQ community on this special day against homophobia & transphobia! 🏳️🌈 #IDAHOT pic.twitter.com/OtRpKQzdzO
