Which countries attract and retain the most talented people? Switzerland, Singapore and the United States stand out in terms of attracting and nurturing talent, according to the Global Talent Competition Index (GTCI) 2023.

The top 10 also includes Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, Norway, Australia, Sweden and the United Kingdom. 17 of the first 25 countries in the ranking are European countries.

Some of the European countries that have fallen significantly in the rankings over the past decade are the United Kingdom, Luxembourg and Iceland, while Australia and Norway have shown improvement.

GTCI is published annually by the French business school INSEAD in collaboration with the Descartes Institute in Geneva. GTCI includes 134 countries worldwide.
