Apparently, the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, is afraid of the outbreak of some possible apocalypse. For this reason, he has decided to build a castle worth more than 200 million dollars on the island of Kauai, in Hawaii, where he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, and their children can take refuge in the event of the end of the world.

The project of this building is related to the construction of a fortress in the form of an underground bunker, with energy and food sources. Project workers have been forced to sign strict non-disclosure agreements and those who violate the terms are fired, according to The Times.

Despite the desire for privacy, some details have already been revealed. The compound, which is partially completed, consists of more than a handful of spaces, with at least 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms. It includes two buildings with a total area similar to that of a football field. The complex contains a kitchen, offices and conference rooms and a large area with trees and plants.

The shelter door will be made of metal and filled with concrete. Amid various global crises, Mark Zuckerberg, who according to Forbes has a net worth of $118 billion, seems to be preparing for the worst-case scenario.

Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, spent $170 million on the purchase of the land, as well as $100 million on construction costs.
