Shopping is always exciting! A casual outfit that just grabs you from the boutique window, a dress bought just for a wedding or birthday, the occasions can be many, so the idea of ??coming home with a big bag of new clothes seems like it makes us more euphoric and fills our heart with joy.
But have you ever wondered how hygienic and safe it is to try on the clothes you buy in the fitting room, then bring them home to wear without washing them first? There are a lot of problems that can happen to your skin and body if you wear something new bought from the store without washing it first.
Chemicals and dyes are the main problem. Some dyes are not chemically bonded to the fibers and this means they can easily transfer to the skin and cause irritation. New unwashed clothes can carry irritating germs from someone who may have worn them.
At best, even if the person in front of you has been completely clean, any scents or chemicals (perfume, body lotions) that may be left behind on their clothes irritate your skin, lungs, and eyes.
Every time you make a new purchase, remind yourself of all the problems that come with wearing new unwashed clothes, so throw them straight into the washing machine after you get them home.
