Kourtney Kardashian Barker has spoken bluntly and without gloves about her romantic life and the partners who have accompanied her over the years. In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney says she found the reason why women in her family have historically chosen men who treat them less than they truly deserve.
"I started therapy after a toxic relationship and then I learned a lot about myself, about family, about why I do certain things, about our childhood wounds, about how they play out in intimate relationships, generational trauma, etc.," she said.
According to Kourtney, there are some patterns that need to be broken so that children don't copy them later. "I think it's a generational thing," Kourtney replied. "My grandmother was married three times. We've all chosen partners that we thought we could change in some way and we couldn't,” she continued.
"I know that people in my family can benefit from going to therapy for couples and emotional problems. But, I'm giving up trying to change other people and just accepting everyone for who they are. This is me. This is my journey. This is you and this is your journey,” she concludes.
A few weeks ago, Kourtney gave birth to her fourth child as a mother, but the first with her current husband, Travis Barker.
