Alma Bektashi publicly stated that her ex-husband is not present in the lives of her children. In an interview for "Ora e pasdite" in Klan Kosova, the singer was asked about the divorce and preferred not to dwell on the details.

"As for my divorce, I would not talk about someone who has been non-existent in my life and my children's life for a long time. I am a mother who devotes myself to my children all the time. We have a fantastic relationship. We are like three friends who live in the same apartment, but each in his own room," she said.

Next, Alma focused on the topic of divorce in Albanian society and the difficulties faced by divorced women.

"What worries me the most about divorced women is that they don't have the opportunity, they don't find support from their family, from the people around them, from their friends, anywhere. This is in our culture. I'm sorry, maybe I'm being a little rude about this, but culture starts with parents. You have seen that five, six or seven, eight or nine girls are always born only to produce a boy. Then when they start to grow, the girls are given water and the boys milk, because there is only one boy. Discrimination starts with the mother and the father."

Two years ago, Alma Bektashi addressed the Tirana court to end her 25-year marriage with Sokol Stafa. At that time, various media reported that the cause was an extramarital affair of Staffa with a divorce psychologist, 20 years younger than him.

It was common friends who first discovered the betrayal when they saw the Instagram of the psychologist, who publicly declared her love for Alma's husband, while they were still married, reports Panorama Plus.
