A shocking event has surprised Albanians, as a video was circulated on the show "Stop", taken from the security cameras of a private kindergarten in Tirana, in which a teacher abused a 3-year-old girl with a ruler. The little girl in question also had her leg broken under unclear circumstances.

A summary of the event:

The incident is believed to have happened a few days ago. The little girl's parents were notified around 3:00 p.m. by the kindergarten that the girl had been taken to the hospital after something bit her and her leg was swollen. The doctors, after seeing the condition of the little girl, sent her to the Trauma Hospital and it turned out that she had a fracture in the thigh.

Thus, cameras were secured from the private kindergarten, where the teacher appears worried and surrounded by other children. The footage was recorded around 10:00 am. The girl enters the classroom in tears and the teacher hits her with a ruler, pulls her and forces her to sit in a chair to continue the lesson. On camera, the way the little girl moves shows that she is in pain, raising suspicions that her leg may have been broken long before her parents were notified.

For the show "Stop", the parents said that at the Trauma Hospital, no one received a testimony to refer the event. They insisted and then the case was investigated by police station number 1 in Tirana. The materials have already been handed over to the Tirana prosecutor's office.

Closing the garden

Meanwhile, the private kindergarten turns out to be without a license and the Ministry of Education has closed the entity.

"MAS has immediately set up the institutional Task Force for the verification of subjects that exercise activity in services for children, in cooperation with the local government and the state police. The Ministry of Education strongly condemns violent acts against children and demands a full clarification of the circumstances of the event, in order to take immediate and strict measures against those responsible.

After the broadcast of the serious event on the show "Stop" on TV Klan, the Ministry of Education and Sports has immediately asked the State Police and the Municipal Police to take measures for the immediate closure of the "Stinët" kindergarten, as, from the verifications carried out, it results that the kindergarten is illegal and carries out unlicensed activity as a private pre-university educational institution, pursuant to law no. 10 081, dated 23.2.2009, "On licenses, authorizations and permits in the Republic of Albania", as amended and law no. 69/2012, "On the pre-university education system in the Republic of Albania", amended.

The Ministry of Education and Sports, the State Police, the Municipal Police, the Inspectorates, will set up the Task Force for the full control in the territory for entities that exercise activity in preschool services for children and will take all the necessary measures to ensure that educational institutions, public or private, to provide a safe and protected environment for children, in accordance with the legislation in force.
Violence against children is a violation of their fundamental rights and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The Ministry of Education will be determined in the fight against violence in educational facilities to ensure that our children grow up in a safe and protected environment," the announcement read.

As for the teacher who raped the girl with a ruler, she was taken to the police.

"On 07.11.2023, criminal proceedings no. 7527 of 2023 were registered, for the criminal offense of "Mistreatment of a minor", provided for by article 124/bi of the Criminal Code. Taking into account the sensitivity of the event, the case was immediately drawn Section for Juveniles, where prosecutor Silvana Lule has been appointed. On the part of the prosecution, the performance of other procedural actions in connection with the criminal proceedings is continuing," informed the prosecutor's office of Tirana.

Parents' protest in front of the kindergarten

Various parents have appeared in the kindergarten premises to protest against the violence against the little girl. Through banners such as: "Is the educator a second parent" and "Don't beat my friends", parents and children showed solidarity with the little girl.
