The legendary actor, Robert De Niro has spoken about parenthood at the age of 83, now that his little daughter, Gia, was born. In an interview with The Guardian, the actor said that being a father at this age is a bit full of surprises.
He and partner Tiffany Chen became parents to a daughter in June of this year, and De Niro said things are going well, but still, it's challenging. “You never know what's going to happen. They (children) surprise you".
"It is what it is. I mean, it's ok. I don't do the hard work," he admitted, adding: "I'm there to support my girlfriend, but she does the work. We are here to help, which is very important."
De Niro said he really enjoys parenthood. He also has two other children, Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46, with ex-wife Diahnne Abboutt, 27-year-old twins Aaron and Julian with ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith, as well as Elliot, 25, and Helen Grace, 11 with ex-wife, Grace Hightower.
Now that he is 83 years old, we justify him, but we ask ourselves: "Did De Niro help his ex-wives and ex-girlfriends before?".
