Inspired by Sylvinho: Some lessons that every boss in Albania should know

We can say it unanimously and with pride: Albania, at this moment, has the best football team it has ever had. Besides the extraordinary talent of the footballers, the Brazilian coach, Sylvio Mendes Campos Junior (known as Sylvinho) deserves without question all the credit, thanks and applause from us as fans.

During his time with the team, Sylvinho has shown some fantastic qualities, which we think go beyond the football field and the stadium and apply to working relationships as well. Watching the matches of our national team and the positive results with eagerness and enthusiasm, we have extracted the following lessons from coach Sylvinho:

Lesson #1: Trust the team

Sylvinho trusted the team, their players and their talents wholeheartedly. The coach, not only entrusted them with the game and the matches with prepared teams, like that of Poland, but also inspired them to do a fantastic job. We think that every boss, superior, or manager in Albania should have the same approach.

When you trust someone at work and anywhere, the other person builds more respect and has a sense of responsibility to complete the job with satisfactory results.

Lesson #2: Discover new talent

We know that Armando Broja and Marash Kumbulla are very good players, but what if we see other talents? This is what Sylvinho did: He looked for new talents, discovered them and made them part of the lineup. Jasir Asani and Mario Mitaj were among the smartest decisions.

The same should be applied in the workplace. A company is kept alive and succeeds when it discovers new talents, so dear boss, give a voice to young people, listen carefully to them and don't underestimate them because of years and "lack of experience". Lesson #3: Dare!

Before, unfortunately, Asan was hardly seen on the field, but after Sylvinho's decision, the footballer revealed his fantastic talent, giving us incredible goals. In fact, the coach immediately added him to the team, after he noticed that Asan was serving him on the field. Today, Jasir Asani, after confirming his position on the field, is a key element for the game.

So, dare and take new, unprecedented steps. Despite the risk of loss, it is very likely that you will bring something totally new and set new standards.

Lesson #4: Work together as a team

The sports journalist, Ylli Aga, said: "The work that Sylvinho is doing is that he is behaving like a club coach, in a good sense. He is maximally dedicated to his work. Every day in the office, work with the staff, endless videos and analysis".

On the other hand, Sylvinho stated that it was a good decision to live in Albania, as otherwise he would not have discovered Asan's talent.

From him, we get another lesson: Working next to your team, in any job, is a valuable experience, because in this way, you get to learn more about the potential of your team members and staff, understand their relationships, the atmosphere of office and everything you can't do over the phone or email. Lesson #5: Give Caesar his due!

Sylvinho does not hold back, regardless of the name and fame that a footballer may have! He raises football players technically, sees their potential, sees the best and through analysis, uses their strengths properly. Sylvinho, on the other hand, is giving an incredible chance to young footballers to prove themselves, shine and be promoted. Why? Because they deserve it!

The same should be done in the workplace! If someone deserves to be promoted, contributes to the good of the company, and excels, it's your job to give them their due.
