NASA scientist Peter Kalmus has warned people in a tweet that this summer will be the "coolest" we'll ever experience as extreme heat waves wreak havoc on Europe and the USA, while numerous floods and strong winds will hit Asia.
"Many people still do not know what danger they are in. This will be the coolest summer for the rest of my life and this shouldn't be a meme, but actually, (it should be) scary. "The only solution to this terrible heat is to end fossil fuels as soon as possible," he wrote.

Kalmus added that the world and society must go into climate emergency mode, for the planet to start cooling by the end of this century.
The whole world is facing extreme temperatures, which are setting new records. Recently, due to the El Niño phenomenon, temperatures in Europe have reached extreme numbers and this trend is expected to be increasing.
