A viral clip on Twitter and Reddit shows how Travis Scott expected to be "bombarded" by fans in Japan, but nothing happened.
The video has millions of views on various posts and people are saying it "embarrasses them".

The 31-year-old at one point takes off his hood and waits for reactions from the people around, but nothing.
Someone wrote:
"It makes me laugh when he pauses when he turns back and then realizes that he's not hurting anyone."
One person also points out that it's no wonder that many Japanese rap fans don't know Scott, since he barely made the "Top 50" on the Asian music charts.
"The only western artists who can be recognized in Japan are Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and others. I don't know why he thought they would recognize him", commented another user.
However, there are people who have had other thoughts.

Someone said that "probably even they wouldn't understand if a character passed by", especially since "the Japanese are not very good at recognizing faces".
Others said that maybe Scott felt good because for the first time in a long time, he felt like a normal person.
