Priyanka Chopra Jonas says she left Bollywood behind to give herself a chance in Hollywood because she felt like she was being "left in a corner of the industry".
On the "Armchair Expert" podcast, Chopra Jonas said that he had a "rivalry with some people" and others "didn't include him in auditions."
She added that she had never made this statement before.
The Matrix Resurrections star had a career as a Bollywood actress in India before coming to the US, but admitted that, at the time, she felt tired of it all.
However, the break from acting in India happened when she was given an opportunity to travel to America and work in the music industry.
In early 2010, Pryanka signed a deal with Interscope Records as a singer
"When I got the opportunity to make music, I said: 'fu*k it.' I will go to America", said the 40-year-old.
After working with artists like Pitbull and Will.i.Am, Chopra Jonas said she realized she was better suited to be an actress. She began pursuing roles in Hollywood.
After a meeting with an ABC casting director, Chopra Jonas found herself auditioning for the spy series, Quantico.
She won the role and starred in the series as FBI recruiter Alex Parrish for three seasons from 2015 to 2018.
Chopra has gone on to a successful career in Hollywood, starring in films and series such as “Baywatch,” “The Matrix Resurrections,” “Love Again” and “Citadel.” The latter two will be released soon!
