Headaches and more: Symptoms related to migraines, but you don't know

Contrary to what you may think or have been told, a migraine is not just a severe headache.

Many doctors don't know enough about the nuances of migraine disorders, Dr. Frederick Godley, an ear, nose and throat specialist and president of the Migraine Disorders Association of America.

When people think of migraines, they often think of headaches. But many people experience many more symptoms than that.

About a third of people experience some sensation before the headache starts. These sensations can last from five minutes to an hour and are: blurred vision, blurred vision, numbness or changes in speech.

The list of possible symptoms associated with migraines is long, but here are a few: dizziness, tinnitus, mood swings, yawning, neck pain, and food cravings.

Some of the symptoms, including exhaustion, may occur before a migraine.
