From April 1, the minimum monthly basic salary for employees nationwide, which is mandatory to be applied by any person, legal or natural, local or foreign, will be 40,000 (forty thousand) ALL.

This increase of 6,000 ALL will be attributed to both the private and public sectors.

According to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, "every employee or employer will be obliged to implement the minimum wage decision from April 1st, which will be reflected in the month of May".

The last increase in the minimum wage took place in September 2022, from ALL 32,000 to ALL 34,000.

However, the new minimum wage (40,000 ALL) remains the lowest in the region.
