"I just don't like you anymore!" Through this sentence, the entire friendship of two men Pádraic Súilleabháin (Colin Farrell) and Colm Doherty (Brendan Gleeson), lifelong friends, will be shaken.
The subject takes place on an isolated island of Ireland and introduces us to the story of two friends who face a crisis in their society and its tragic consequences.
In 1923, in the Irish civil war, Colm Doherty decides to ignore his close friend, Pádraic Súilleabháin, on the grounds that Pádraic is too "boring" for him.
Colm has one wish: To dedicate himself to music and therefore, to be remembered for a long time. On the other hand, Pádraic's life is shaken as Colm is one of the best friends he has. He tries to mend the relationship with him, but Colm gives him an ultimatum, telling him that he will cut off a finger whenever Pádraic tries to bother him or talk to him.
A film that brings tragedy and comedy together in a fascinating and unique way, "The Banshees of Inisherin" should not escape you without being seen.
