The oldest man in the world passes away

The oldest person in the world, the French nun Sister Andrée has changed at the age of 118.

Lucile Randon was born in 1904 and took the name of Sister Andrée when she joined a Catholic order of charity in 1944.

Sister Andrée died in the early hours of Tuesday morning in a nursing home in France. Last year she survived the infection with Covid.

She devoted most of her life to religious service. Before becoming a nun, she cared for children during World War II and then spent 28 years caring for orphans and the elderly in a hospital.

In 2020, Andrée expressed that she had no idea how she had lived this long. "I have no idea what the secret is. Only God can answer this question. I have had a lot of unhappiness in life and during the 1914-1918 war when I was a child, I suffered like everyone else."

Sister Andrée loved chocolate and wine. She drank a glass of wine every day, CNN has confirmed.

The oldest person in the world is now 115-year-old María Branyas Morera who lives in Spain.
