Through a post on Instagram, the conductor of Elsa Lila, Enricco Melozzi, raised quite a few accusations about the song that will represent Albania at Eurovision, "Duje" by Albina Kelmendi and her family.
"Is it possible for an artist to propose and register as a soloist, with a name that is published in all the newspapers of the world, and then appear as a group, even under a different name? Is it possible that this group will not appear? in rehearsals and to be revealed only in the pre-general, even causing technical problems since no one knew about the presence of a vocal group and the necessary microphones were not provided?" - these are the first questions that the conductor directs, hinting that Albina only registered for the Festival, but then she brought her family as well.
Melozzi also raises accusations of vote manipulation.
Among other things, he recalls that "years ago, singers were disqualified just for singing the chorus for the second time" - hinting that maybe this should also happen to Albina Kelmendi, who, at one point, stopped to sing and once the song together with the audience.
The conductor says that "arrogance and ignorance prevailed over culture and beauty" and calls [Elsa Lila's] victory "bittersweet".
Elsa Lila with the song dedicated to her daughter, "Evita", won the jury prize at the Song Festival, but the representative at Eurovision this year was decided by the public.
