Currently she lives in Paris, where she teaches at one of the universities of the French capital. During an interview for "Morning ABC", Ervina revealed the very personal reason that in one way or another forced her to make the decision to leave Albania.
"It was a decision that took me a long time to make. I left it for a very personal event that happened in 2006. I have never spoken about it. I lost my mother in a road accident and the person who caused the accident did did not have a license and had been drinking alcohol. The mother suffered for two months in the hospital before she passed away.
At that moment, I realized that there were many institutions that, in my case, did not function properly. In the first place, it was the person in question who gave the car without a license and who was in a hurry to catch the second half of the match because it was the World Championship. Second, medicine has not worked. Did the mother have to be saved after this accident? The Highway Code states that you should not move him when he is unconscious. Did it have to be operated on several times? I don't know. But what hurts me the most is the judge. When I asked him why he was punished so little, he answered that 'your mother did not die from the accident'.It was terrible because mom was in perfect health until the day of the accident," she said.
Currently, the comedian has started a new family in France and recently became the mother of a son.
"I started a family here after many years. For the first time I understand what it means that the child is the light of the eyes. I thought it had to do with sense, but I think it's the light that shines into our eyes. Only when you prove that your whole being sees the smile of a child." - continued Ervina who did not exclude the possibility of a return to the stage if she received the right proposal.
