A woman in Washington was stabbed several times and buried alive in the woods by her husband.
The woman, named Young Sook An, was taken hostage by her husband and after being tortured, buried in a grave, but luckily, she escaped after calling the police from her Apple smartwatch.
She and her husband were in the process of divorcing, and the man, named Chae Kyong, did not live with her but occasionally went to the house to do laundry.
The incident happened around 1pm when the man went to the house, punched Young and bound his eyes, hands, thighs and wrists. Then, he took him to a remote forest, dug a pit, stabbed him in the chest and threw him into the open pit.
"While I was in the pit, I could hear the man walking around and throwing mud at me," the woman testified.
She also said she had a lot of difficulty breathing after being buried alive for several hours until the police found her exact location.
Experts found the newly opened pit and the woman managed to escape, only with technology.
Meanwhile, her husband is charged with attempted murder in the first degree, kidnapping in the first degree and violence of the same degree.
According to Young, Chae Kyong An is a very intelligent man and has served in the US Army Forces, so catching him may prove difficult for the police.
