The request to close the case came from the accuser", Martin's team said in the statement, adding that the artist's grandson is an individual with serious mental health problems who has made false accusations. "We are very happy that our client saw justice and can now move forward with his life and career."
The accusation of the grandson of the hit singer "La Vida Loca" seriously endangered the career of the artist, and if it turned out to be true, it would cost him a full 50 years in prison. According to Sanchez's claims, the 50-year-old artist and he had had sexual relations for 7 months and broke up 2 months ago. Sanchez claims his uncle persistently called him and went to his house.
To this, Martin reacted and called the accusations "totally false" and his lawyer categorically denied a romantic or sexual relationship between Martin and his nephew.
The singer will also appear in another trial with his former manager, who has sued him for several unpaid commissions and is seeking damages in the amount of 3 million dollars.
