If there is one theme that songs are produced for every day, it is love. Feelings that come with it: Happiness, sadness, hatred, disappointment, etc. - All have inspired hundreds of thousands of love songs, love-hate, relationships and ex-relationships.
Today, however, let's focus on a "genre" (not genuine) of love songs, "revenge breakup," or "separation revenge."
In 2016, when Beyonce released the album "Lemonade", the singer's lemonade was the most talked about of the moment. The main reason? It was precisely the texts dedicated to the betrayal of Jay Z.
"This is the last warning. If you do it again, you will lose your wife," Beyonce said in the song "Don't Hurt Yourself", or "Today I regret the day I put the ring on your finger" in "Sorry".
Like Beyonce's songs on this album, there are many and almost all of them are successful, talked about and felt.
We mention Taylor Swift's "Better Than Revenge", Since You Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson and many more.
Yesterday, April 12, Beatrix Ramosaj released the song "More than you" (in collaboration with DJ Geek) and many parts of the lyrics look like a thumb for their ex-partner, Donald Veshaj. For example, Beatrix says "I did not think you were that idiot", while Donald says "I know I'm an idiot ..." and you know the rest. Coincidence? We do not believe.
However, the song already has over 500 thousand clicks even though 24 hours have not been done yet. It's one of the most commented on Instagram and if you log on to TikTok, one in three videos is Beatrix's song accompanied by lyrics.
Why does this happen? Some of the most common reasons are:
- Love is the strongest feeling (some psychologists say, not us) and when mixed with feelings as strong as hatred or anger, the opportunity to be inspired and leave the soul in the song, turns into a kind of liberation from these often suffocating sensations. Outcome? Successful songs!
- Often, the songs are based on the stories of the singers themselves. And, when the singers are known, their relationship and history is known, the curiosity of the people is too great not to hear the song at least once.
Third, the feeling of a little revenge or just saying "you're fine" and "you do not need him / her" gives us a sense of security and makes us feel good. This makes the songs heard even more.
- Finally, where there is revenge, love, separation - there is drama. And, let's be honest, some of us love dramas!
