In retaliation for any sanctions the world has received on it, Russia has closed airspace to some of the European countries. Earlier Finland announced it would limit air movement for Russian planes, calling on all European countries to do the same.
Meanwhile, Russia has recently banned all airlines with Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Slovenia. Yesterday, Russian authorities announced the closure of airspace for the planes of Bulgaria, Poland and Czech, in response to the similar decision taken by the aforementioned countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked his country's special forces, saying that "they are very heroically fulfilling military duty in Ukraine."
