Bella Hadid says her mental health problems are to blame for why she has not collaborated with a personal stylist "for a long time".
Speaking to WSJ Magazine, the 25-year-old supermodel revealed that she was "in such a mentally weird state" that it was really tricky for her to "get out of the house and get dressed, especially given the photographers' anxiety."
"In the last year, it was very important for me to learn that even if people talk about my style, whether they like it or not, it does not matter, because it is my style. When I leave home in the morning, what I think is: Does this make me happy? Do I feel comfortable with this outfit and do I feel comfortable? ”
The model has previously spoken about her mental health via Instagram last year, where she revealed that she has "suffered from extreme depression and anxiety" for most of her life as a teenager and adult. Hadid also explained to the WSJ why he decided last November to post a selfie of himself crying.
"I had really depressive episodes and my mom or doctor asked me how I was and instead of responding with text, I just sent them a picture," she said. "It was the easiest thing for me at the time because I was not able to explain how I felt."
"I only had torturous and debilitating mental and physical pain and I did not know why. This has happened over the last three years, "Bella revealed, adding that when she posted the photos, it was" to make sure anyone who felt that way knew it was okay to feel that way. "
Hadid told the media that she hopes her followers will know that while things "look so beautiful" on Instagram, "at the end of the day, we have all our problems".
Bella confessed that she had good and bad days, but stressed that she did not regret how much she shared with others on social networks
