The very famous Brazilian singer, Marília Mendonça passed away yesterday (Friday) as a result of a plane crash. The country music star was on her way to a concert with 4 other people, her uncle, producer and two pilots. The 26-year-old singer has left behind a 1-year-old son.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but it is said that the plane in which Mendonça was on hit a cable of an electric pole, but there is still no concrete statement from the authorities in this regard, as according to them it is still early to decide. 

The news of the death of the "Latin Grammy" winner otherwise known as "the Boss" by millions of fans, has shocked the country and not only. Celebrity Brazilians, including Neymar, have expressed their condolences publicly following the news.

Marilia was one of the most listened to singers in Brazil on Spotify in 2019 and 2020 and had more than 38 million followers on Instagram.

"I refuse to believe this, I refuse!" Wrote football star Neymar.
