1. Butterfly breathing.
This is a yoga exercise for breathing, which slows down the heartbeat and clarifies thoughts.
Here's how to do it: Stand up straight, with your feet shoulder-width apart. Keep your arms open to the side. Breathe in as you raise your left knee toward your right elbow. Exhale as you lower your leg. Repeat on the other side.
2. Boxing
After a stressful day, more aggressive exercises like boxing or kickboxing can help you relieve stress in a healthy way.
3. Shake
Qigong, a Chinese practice similar to Tai Chi, practices shaking the limbs to improve blood circulation and loosen the joints. Start by shaking hands and continue with the upper limbs. Then shake the whole body, from the tip of the toes to the heel, breathing through the nose.
4. Cardio
Another way to lower your heart rate is cardio. Do brisk walking or jogging for 20 minutes every day, 3 times a week.
5. Stretching the whole body
Stretching is a good exercise to release tension in all parts of the body. If you have it in the lower back, here's what to do: Sit with your feet in front of you. Cross the left leg to the right, near the right knee. Turn the body to the right. Repeat on the other side.
