5 things you need to know before piercing your nipples!

If you have decided to pierce your nipples, consult the person who will do it for you and consider the following:

# 1 - Drilling can hurt you, but only for a while

Even if your pain tolerance is high, the piercing is likely to be painful. Like any piercing, a needle must pierce the skin, which of course causes some discomfort.

However, do not worry, because the pain will not last long. Experts compare the pain to a "really strong and fast bite". Just wait to be without a bra for about a day afterwards to let your chest breathe. Also, keep in mind that nipple piercings are not like earrings. You should expect to have the help of a professional jeweler for changing jewelry. Nipples without any jewelry will close quickly.

# 2 - Beware of knitted sweaters and other materials caught after piercing

During the one-year healing process, be sure to wear a sports bra at night and in the beginning, wear bras during the day or cotton t-shirts to make sure the piercing is safe. Sticking jewelry to clothes is like smashing your little toe into the corners of furniture.

# 3 - The key is good hygiene

Be sure to keep your piercing clean (consult the place where you did the piercing and the pharmacy) and expect some redness for the first few weeks.

Sex is good after piercing, but make sure to keep your hands and juices away from your nipples until they are mostly healed. In about nine months to a year, the drilling should heal completely.

# 4 - Nipple tenderness may increase after drilling

For many people, nipple piercing almost immediately makes this area more sensitive to touch. Although, it is unclear whether that effect is really physical or mental. They may seem more sensitive simply because you are suddenly more aware of them.

Many people say that piercing has increased sexual sensitivity has helped breasts get more attention in the bedroom. But ultimately, the final effect will depend on your individual body.

# 5 - Breastfeeding is possible, but always consult a professional

According to Healthline, nipple piercings usually do not harm or affect breast milk production.

However, make sure you do the drilling 18-24 months before you plan to get pregnant. If you are currently or recently breastfeeding, wait three months after stopping breastfeeding before piercing your nipples.
