Vogue Italia magazine is facing a lot of criticism because, according to people, it did not properly expose the Tuscan coast. Citizens are urging the magazine to apologize publicly, calling the cover "hypocritical."
The first page of September focuses on the beautiful white beaches in Rosignano Solvay, Tuscany, an area often referred to as the "Maldives of Italy".
Based on the image placed on the cover, it can not be understood that the coast is very close to a chemical plant, responsible for marine pollution, writes Vice World News (via Euronews).
"Water is the primary symbol of regeneration, redemption and return to life," wrote Massimo Vitali, photographer.

A chemical plant built by the Belgian-based company Solway has been present in Rosignano since 1913. In addition to being unpleasant to look at, the plant also pollutes the sea, which is very close to the chemical waste it produces. This is a problem that citizens have suffered for decades.
The famous white sand color that makes the beach so popular is due to the high amounts of lime ash residues. Vice reports that in 2017, fish were leaving the shore with very high levels of ammonia in their bodies.
The regulator responsible for assessing water safety continues to insist that water is safe to swim, despite being positive for high levels of toxins.
Regarding the reactions, "Vogue Italia" has responded by saying that it intends to raise awareness of environmental problems and that it did not intend to "praise a polluted beach".
