Gigi Hadid appeared on the red carpet at the Met Gala 2021 in a Prada dress and despite speculation that she would be walking alongside Zayn Malik, she was actually alone.

Where was Zayn? In an interview with GQ ( via Just Jared), he said:

"Now, it's not something I would go for. I'd rather sit in my house, do something productive, than get dressed in really expensive clothes and be photographed on the red carpet. It's not me."

He went to the Met Gala 2016 with Gigi, but said, "I went, but I did not go there to say, 'Hey, take me seriously.' I went as my favorite character in 'Mortal Kombat', Jax. "

But Zayn's comments have sparked some claims that Anna Wintour, Vogue editor-in-chief who hosts the Met Gala, has expelled her from the event. It is not known for sure, but it would not be a surprise. For example, Tina Fey, after saying "Met Gala is a shameful parade", was never invited again and rightly so! Why should someone who will not go receive an invitation ?!
