Naomi Campbell knows exactly what she gave up to be the famous and successful supermodel that everyone knows today.
In an interview with The Cut, published this week, she says:
"I would say the real sacrifice is finding a soul mate who understands you."
Campbell, who has never been married, added:
"I am strong, but I am also sensitive. I know that in relationships, I have to make compromises."
Although currently single, the model has had some public connections. In 1993, she was briefly engaged to U2 bassist Adam Clayton. She later became engaged to Flavio Briatore, an Italian businessman, with whom she split in 2002, after four years of dating.
Naomi has also been linked to Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher and Robert DeNiro in the past - as well as former One Direction singer Liam Payne and British rapper Skepta in recent years.
Although there was never any talk of another relationship, this year the supermodel achieved one thing she always loved: motherhood.
"A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother," she wrote as she announced the arrival of her daughter on Instagram in May, continuing: "How honored I am to have this gentle spirit in my life, there is no "words to describe the eternal bond I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."
It remains unknown who Campbell's baby's biological father is, though she is said to have been in a secret affair with an American boyfriend for nearly two years, according to The Sun. The supermodel has not yet revealed the name of her daughter.
