There is a theory circulating on the network about "In Search of Nemo" and it must be said that it is not at all, not at all beautiful.
In the podcast "Just the nobodies", presenters said they think the character of Nemos in fact did not exist in reality. According to them, Marlin, Nemo's father, simply imagines the existence of his son as a way to cope with the loss of their wife and children.
Sounds ridiculous, but they think the theory is grounded. The word "nemo" in Latin means "nobody", they explained. "So Disney is telling the audience that we have a movie called 'In Search of Nemo', but it's actually 'Looking for Nobody', because Nemo doesn't exist."
According to them, it now makes sense why Marlin associates with Dory, who suffers from memory loss. "That's why Dory is a good friend to Marlin: because she has a short-term memory and can't remember that Nemo doesn't exist."
Shortly afterwards, some people at TikTok seem to have embraced the theory. According to them, “clown fish kill each other. So, according to the theory, Marlin killed his son and mother and expresses grief by imagining.
Other people simply disagree with the dark theory. The fact that Nemo interacts with other characters makes the theory meaningless.
However, while many others do not believe it, some people write:
"This theory did not ruin my day - this theory ruined my childhood."
