The change in the concept of marriage has begun to be reflected in the figures! People decide to get married less and less and as divorces come and go. At least this is shown by the figures from the countries of the European Union.

According to Eurostat data, published in Euroneës.al show that the percentage of marriages in the EU since 1964, has decreased from 8 per 1000 people to 4.3 per 1000 in 2019.

In addition, what has doubled are divorces where from 0.8 per 1000 inhabitants has gone to 1.8 for the same number in 2019.

What are the European countries that believe less and less in marriage ?! 

At the top of the list is Italy with only 3 marriages per 1 thousand inhabitants. Portugal and Slovenia are next on the list. 

Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia and Hungary are among the countries that still maintain the tradition of marriage.

In terms of divorces, the lowest number was recorded in Malta and Ireland, where 0.7 divorces were registered per 1 thousand people.

Even in our country, the reduction of marriages has been present as a phenomenon for years, in 2020 their number dropped significantly.
