In one of TikTok's most viral videos last year, Julia Carolan gave Hailey a score of 3.5 out of 10, saying the model had been rude while Carolan was working as a hostess at a popular restaurant. Hailey later apologized for her behavior, and now says that "during that time, the event upset her a lot."
The TikTok user then said :
"I have met her several times and in all cases she has not been polite. I would like to like her, but I have to give her a 3.5 out of 10. I'm sorry!"
In an interview with Dr. Jessica Clemons, Hailey explained why the video "hurt her feelings" and said she went through "some things in her life that make connecting with others seem like a difficult task".
"When I saw the video I was very upset. There is never an excuse for being rude. I felt bad that this was her experience, but on the other hand I was also irritated because you never know what someone is going through. I remember that "I went through periods in my life where I was so sad that engaging with people seemed like a difficult thing."
Hailey continued:
"I would like not to act that way towards her. I'm a human being and I made a mistake. I acted in a way that was out of my character. I'm trying to do better every day because I want to continue to grow as a person. I'm a open to the people who correct me. "
At the time the viral video was released, Hailey made only a brief post on Twitter, apologizing and saying "it was not her intention to misbehave." The girl in the video later called Hailey the "queen of accountability." However, almost a year later, the model decided to talk about the situation again. Ah, the power of TikTok and its users.
