Kate Middleton and Prince William will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, however people are still learning new things about their big day. The new documentary "The Day Will and Kate Got Married" talks about a series of details on the couple's wedding day, April 29, 2011. Something people have not noticed has been the size of the cake.
The cake consisting of about 17 kinds of fruit, with 8 levels and almost 1 meter long, apparently, was very difficult to transport. Its designer, Fiona Cairns, revealed that they had trouble inserting the cake into Buckingham Palace for the big event, eventually removing a door to pass it.
Cairns says she remembers Queen Elizabeth saying "I heard you demolished my house". However, in the end, everything was put in place.
If you are now wondering about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle cake, they certainly deviated from the traditional. Usually fruit cakes are the main element of the wedding cake, but the couple chose a cake mostly composed of lemon cream and decorated with fresh flowers.
Kate and William's wedding cake has continued to be served at each of the baptisms of their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Who knows, maybe there is a little cake left and for their anniversary this month?
