Opaque Couche - a color between brown and green, is officially the ugliest color in the world. Unless you're going out with someone you don't like or trust more than you should, you can wear it because you're sure to change their mind.
Pantone 448 C, the scientific name of this color, is defined as "the ugliest, ugliest color in the world."
In 2012, the Australian government hired the GfK agency to find a way for people to give up smoking. Scientists set themselves the goal of designing the ugliest cigarette packaging so that people unconsciously were less likely to buy it.
They found that the least attractive color of all was precisely this nuance between coffee and green. It took 3 months, 7 studies and over 1,000 smokers to figure out what the package would make them less want to buy tobacco. Other colors such as white, beiches, dark grey and mustard color were quite unpopular with most people.
