Hilary Duff tells why she feels guilty during pregnancy: 'I should have

When Hilary Duff did her hair blue again, people thought it was a sign to show that the third child the actress is expecting is a boy, but in fact not.

She and her husband, singer / producer Matthew Koma, have decided not to reveal the baby's gender because "this time (referring to the pandemic) seems inappropriate".

In an interview, Hilary says she feels guilty because she failed to discover or anticipate the gender of her children.

"I should have known, it's been inside my body. It's my baby."

The actress is already the mother of Luca, 6 years old and daughter Banks, 2 years old. This will be the second child with Matthew Koma and the couple says they are extremely excited. On the other hand, friends and relatives who believe almost unanimously that their second child will be a boy look just as enthusiastic.

Can mothers really "anticipate" the gender of the baby?

In a 2017 study by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, with a not-too-large population of 1,026 women, about 51% of them correctly predicted the sex of their babies. However, this result and others like it fail to demonstrate great statistical significance, because when the odds are 50/50, it is understandable that predictions will become a reality in half the time.
