How 'Hannah Montana' caused Miley's identity crisis: 'Nobody

Hannah Montana became so real as a character that even Miley herself suffered an identity crisis. Hannah was the character created by the Disney Channel that led Miley to fame, fortune and the world of cinema, but the teenager of that time was probably not mentally ready. Alternating identities made things complicated that period.

"I had an identity crisis. It was a character almost like myself. I had millions of fans, I felt like the biggest star in the world and then I came back to myself and I felt confused. When I took off my wig no one cared, I was no more "The former star. Without Hannah Montana I was nobody because nobody cared," she said in a podcast with Allison Hagendorf.

What helped him overcome the crisis created by the famous character was the music. Songs about sex, drugs, crazy parties helped him realize that Miley is a real man while Hannah Montana does not exist.

"I believe it happened to me because I saw that people perceived me as Hannah more than as Miley."
